WHAT ARE THE FEES FOR COUNSELING?   Payment for counseling is $140.00 per 50 minutes and is accepted by cash, check or major credit card. Payment receipts are given for insurance submission should you decide to file. Dr. Keish is considered a preferred provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield; however, a receipt for payment is made available for you to submit to whatever insurance you have for possible reimbursement. WHAT ARE THE FEES FOR EVALUATION AND TESTING?   Dr. Keish evaluates individuals for impulse control issues and ADD/HD and provides a written report for $125.00. When neurofeedback training is desired, this testing fee is included within the first twenty session packet costs. It is desirable to complete testing without any stimulants, so it is optimal to discontinue caffeine several days prior to testing. If you or your child are on stimulants (such as Ritalin, Concerta, Dexadrine, or Adderal), testing can be done in the morning before the morning dose is taken.

WHAT DO I DO IF I AM INTERESTED IN NEUROFEEDBACK?   The first step in determining the potential for using neurofeedback training in your treatment is to schedule an initial consultation with Dr. Keish. During this 50 minute session, we will determine whether you are a viable candidate for neuroeedback therapy, if you should consider treatments other than neurofeedback, or whether a combination of treatments should be considered. During this time you will have the opportunity to experience a demo neurofeedback session. You will also have the opportunity to ask Dr. Keish any additional questions you may have. The fee for the initial consultation is $125.00 which will be included for free if therapy is scheduled.

HOW MANY NEUROFEEDBACK SESSIONS WILL I NEED?   After the evaluation, the Neurofeedback sessions can then be scheduled. They are scheduled in blocks of 20 and should be done at least twice weekly. Sessions are approximately 45 minutes and cost $125.00 per session. If you pay for 20 sessions in advance, they are discounted to $100.00 a session. Discounted prices are again available after the first twenty sessions are completed. The average number of sessions is between 20-40 with some conditions responding to 20; other maladies are more difficult and may require 40 or more sessions. Some individuals will begin to notice changes after just a few sessions, but in some of the more complicated cases, major benefits may not be realized until after 40, 60, or even 80 sessions. Please expect to undergo at least 20 sessions. It is likely that results will be noticed before 20 sessions, yet additional sessions may be desirable for longer lasting results. There appears to be a cumulative benefit of the number of sessions undergone.

WHAT IF I HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE?   If you have a health benefits policy, you can explore the possibility of coverage as some companies will not cover family counseling or neurofeedback. If your insurance company will authorize counseling or Neurofeedback training, we ask that you pay for services and apply for reimbursement. Dr. Keish is a provider for Blue Cross/Blue Shield. A statement will be provided for your convenience when you submit your claims.
